Many people have questions as to what goes on when we install a roof. Roofing is very labor intensive. Although we offer some answers in our Frequently Asked Questions on this site, we also feel as though a visual walk-through of what we do could help you as well. And like they say, “a picture is worth a thousand words”!

How to install a roof overview.
1. Tear off all old roofing materials.
2. Remove old nails hanging up, set new nails to secure the roof decking.
3. Any damage found is addressed.
4. Install water valleys. Metal water valleys -vs- rubber adhesive
5. Install roofing felt.
6. Install new asphalt fiberglass roofing shingles.
7. replace plumbing stacks with new covers.
8. Install ridge vents if ordered.
9. Flash chimney with new metal flashing.
10. Clean job – the job is not finished until it is cleaned up and tools packed away.
11. Final inspections by crew, homeowner and insurance company if applicable.
12. Satisfaction Exit Interview.
